Remember the last file type used in Save As
You can configure PSP so that when you do a Save As (F12), it remembers the last image file type you used. This setting is very well hidden, however.
In PSP 8, the option is in the File > Preferences > General Preferences in the Display and Caching tab, as shown below:
In PSP 7, it is also in File > Preferences, but in Dialogs and Palettes tab.

Why does PSP start with the Browser when I double click an image file?
The reason is that the associations have gotten corrupted.
